Is it good to do a Hair Straightening after Henna treatment?

Hi,

My hair is thin and straight..medium length.. I'm going to do a natural henna treatment.. I have heard that after a henna treatment it's not recommended to do hair straightening..Nt even ironing..

Is this true?

If you are using pure body art quality henna powder for your treatment then you are okay to use chemicals or straighteners or relaxers as you'd like but if this is a salon henna treatment or a pre mixed box then you will have issues and can damage your hair. There are different types of henna and the safest to use is body art quality henna.

henna helps to put moisture back into your hair as well as beta kerotine (the reddish sheen color) hair straightening takes the moisture right back out and damages your hair. you could possibly discolor your hair by causing the damages. chemical treatments will not hold in hair that has been treated with henna for the same reasons that chemical dyes won't hold in hair that has been treated with henna. stick to just blow drying your hair with a flat paddle brush to keep it straight. your hair will be healthier and it is not all that difficult to do, especially if your hair is fairly straight to begin with.

this is true, in fact henna is not good for your hair at all.
