help what colour highlights should i get i have medium brown hair which is shoulder length

Your hair sounds like mine, ask for caramel color highlights. They're a pretty blonde shade. Or you could get red highlights, I've gotten those done before and they looked alright, but were hard to notice.

get a darker blonde. If its a light enough brown it will look good. If its more median to dark brown then get light light brown highlights like caramel

Well it depends what season it is where u live. Where i am at its already winter and its pretty cold. When its a cold season, highlights go out of fashion for that season and it is back to solid colors. But if its summer, a lot of ppl tend to get highlights because of the 'sun rays' .. which would make ur highlights stand out more. So if its summer where u are at, then get highlights that are a bit lighter than ur hair and it will be very visible in the sun, (which is the whole point). and if its a cold season, stick to a solid color... good luck..
