Im a guy. My hair is about medium-short length. After i take a shower my hair is real dry and puffy and looks really bad so i usually use hair spray to get it down...but recently since im playing lacrosse, my hair gets sweaty and after it gets real sweaty its so much easier to form and looks great but after i take a shower its back to looking bad..so i decided to start taking showers less frequently and going the night without one so its still kinda sweaty-like in the morning..how bad of a idea is this? so my hair isnt totally greasy/dirty i wash it a bit with water in the morning
Problem with hair?
You should wash your hair if its sweaty because it will smell the next day. What you really need are some styling products to give you messy waves. Try some styling gel or mouse after you shower and scrunch sections of your hair as you apply. That should solve your problem.
Problem with hair?
take a shower in the night before you go to bed and it should make it look better
Problem with hair?
take a bath
Problem with hair?
Maybe you just have a dry scalp. Maybe you should buy that stuff that makes your hair look wet. That way it wont look dirty and gressy. Or get Jell or somethingg. But please shower.
********** Try taking showers in the morning and styling it while its wet

You might try pomade instead of hairspray. It doesn't dry your hair like hairspray. It has some oil to it and it also smells nice - It's kind of a paste that you rub on your palms and then smooth through your hair. Usually it's in a round container about the size of a hockey puck. Should be in the hair product aisle of most stores. There's also nothing wrong with only washing your hair every couple of days, but if you're playing sports, you may not want to skip the shampoo.
Problem with hair?
use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, towel dry your hair while in the shower before you apply conditioner, it helps it to work better, putting a pomade or light wax works good to get rid of the puffyness, only use a small amount though
Problem with hair?
since you notice this difference after showering; It may very well be your water.( Hard). Do shower but use a shower cap. Also try using a good moistuirzing conditioner.
